Monkey Park hosts permanently 15 types of green birds, including four different species of parrots and parakeets.

The members of the “pluma-verde” family arrived in different seasons and for different reasons: wounds, government seizures due to illegal captivity, or simply because they were donated by their past owners.

They are not pets
Frequently, people think of these animals as pets but after awhile the animals begin to demonstrate behaviors that make evident their wild nature and the negative effects of captivity. Unfortunately, these birds have lost the ability to adapt to their natural surroundings.

These birds will live permanently at Monkey Park, where they need to be given adequate care and treatment in order to heal their external and internal wounds.
