Yoyito and Poncho, a pair of male Carablanca monkeys, are “teenagers”, because they are between two and a half and three years old.

Rescued from Captivity
The first one to arrive at Monkey Park was Yoyito… and later Poncho. However both of them were in the same situation. The monkeys were seized in two different places by the personnel working for the Costa Rican Ministry of Environment and Energy (MINAE). This happened when they were only babies. They had been kept in illegal captivity.

Now they live together, in the same cage. They will spend a lot of time together because it is impossible for them to return to the wild.
