Margarita: The Spider Monkey

Margarita is a spider monkey that was brought to Monkey Park over a year ago, by the personnel of MINAE. She wasn ’t seized, her former owner donated her.

A different story…
Margarita lived with her past owner since she was a baby, and unlike her actual neighbors, she grew up and lived surrounded by affection and good care. She may not have received the proper nourishment but she did receive love and confidence, which she still expresses to those who work at the park. Her past owner decided to contact the MINAE because of his advanced age. He thought that if he died, no one would take care of her.

The Grandmother
Today Margarita is approximately 20 years old, which makes her a senior citizen. We lovingly call her “the Grandma…”
