Someone is ready and waiting to guide you during your visit to Monkey Park, for only $15. It doesn’t matter if you are the only person requesting a guide at that precise moment. Your guide will be ready to give you extensive information about the many wonders of the Rescue Center. The walking tour lasts approximately 1hour and 20 minutes.
Step 1
The hike begins at the Animal Rescue Center, where you can observe the animals that are permanent residents of Monkey Park. You will learn their history and receive a description of how and why they are here. The guide will also explain what is being done to assure the safety and well being of the animals.
Step 2
A conference about how the personnel of Monkey Park work with and care for the animals that are temporarily living at the park. They will also explain how they prepare them to return to their natural habitat.
Step 3
The third destiny on this journey will take you to the Butterfly Farm, located in a botanical garden. The farm shelters 12 different species of butterflies found in this area.
Step 4
Later, you will count on the services of a guide to take you on a walk through the park. You will be able to observe closely the trees that are in danger of extinction, receive information about their characteristics and uses, as well as the type of food and/or shelter that they represent to other species of flora and fauna of the region. You will also be able to observe the Congo monkeys that live in this place, as well as birds, iguanas, and other species. The paths are wide enough to allow the passing of wheelchairs or small cars.
Step 5
Finally, your guide will take you to our store where you can see and buy a variety of crafts, mostly Costa Rican. |
